Steve passed away on December 11, 2004.

Steve graduated from Rider College in NJ and began a 30 year career with the Dept. of the Army. He worked at Fort Monmouth in NJ and Redstone Arsenal in Alabama as a Personnel Management Specialist, Management Specialist, and Emergency Mobilization Planning Specialist. After his retirement, he worked for the Federal Emergency Mgmt. Agency (FEMA). Steve did volunteer work for Crisis Services of Northern Alabama, the Civil Air Patrol and his Community Emergency Response Team. He was an avid amateur photographer. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Carter Dempsey of Huntsville, Alabama and his four step-children. His Brother, Kevin Dempsey, passed away two weeks before Steve.
