I am still working full time (2 jobs) in Bethlehem,
PA. I taught in a public school (athletic director and
history teacher) for 31 years and retired. I have been
the AD at a beautiful local Prep School (Moravian Academy) since 1996. (45 years in teaching) Additionally,I have been an adjunct
professor of history (I still giggle when I think that
anyone calls me "professor"--I am sure that most of
of my class-mates are laughing too) at Lafayette
College in Easton, PA. for 24 years. I normally teach 4 history
courses each year and I am the director of the teacher preparation program.

I have been single for the past 14 years and will most likely remain so. I have two sons, the youngest has been in the Navy (combat corpsman who "did his share" with the USMC overseas) for 10 years and recently completed Officer Training in Newport, RI . He in presently living in Virginia Beach with his wife and three kids while finishing his nursing degree. My other son lives in the Pocono Mts with his wife and 2 kids. I spend much time with my grand kids. My house in Del. is halfway between Bethlehem and VA Beach, and we all meet there regularly.

I have a beach house in Delaware (very close to Ocean City, MD) where I spend most of the summer and many weekends. I am fortunate to
have been able to do a lot of traveling (England, Ireland, Spain,Italy, Caribbean) over
he past 10 years. I am only (Bethlehem, PA) about 90 min from NYC and Philly and go to the theater and athletic stuff regularly.

My 7 brothers and sisters are still very close (4 in
CA, 1 in TX and 2 in NJ) and we get together
regularly. (I was in Cal 3 times last year) This June
61 (Bill and Penny attended ) family members met at at the Delaware beach for
a WONDERFUL week !

I spent almost 40 years in Lehigh Valley wrestling-(they take wrestling very seriously here!) I coached, officiated and finally became the Director of the District and Regional wrestling Tournaments. I also coached football and track at the high school level for 35 seasons.

I have been fortunate in regard to my health. I got fat ( 215 lbs around 1970)
and began running and lifting and have continued to "stick with the program" for the past 40 years. (Fortunately, I have always had a exercise facility close to my office). Other than a bunch of relatively minor, old athletic injuries that needed repair my health has been excellent. (I wrestled my son,for the last time, on my 50th birthday)

My many friends think that I am "nuts" (they are probably right) for not retiring. My prep school job is entirely as an athletic administrator. I have negotiated a "sweetheart contract" at Moravian Academy, essentially no hours, no days and NO committee meetings! I regularly put in a lot of time but I am pretty much left to my own devices. I take several vacations during the school year and l often leave for the beach on Thursdays and return on Mondays. I still enjoy being in the classroom and my long association with Lafayette College has been very rewarding. I teach pretty much what I like, (Civil war, Industrialism, War in the American Century, Am, Immigration etc.) and when I like.(I was hired as a one year adjunct and have outlasted 4 presidents and 5 department heads) I am also involved in helping in the recruiting of athletes. (a couple of years ago I worked with the parents of an outstanding young man who had lived in Leonia-four years later he, Kyle Roeder, -caught the game winning pass in the last seconds against Lehigh!) Hanging around the College provides a great many social, cultural and athletic opportunities.

Over the past couple of years I have made a real effort to reconnect with my college fraternity brothers. The results have been very rewarding, although it is sad to find that so many have passed on. I look forward to hearing from the members of the Leonia Class of '60 and will respond to anyone who contacts me. Wendy suggest that I try to include a picture. I will attempt to put up a pix of me at a Celtic celebration taken over this past weekend. I am almost completely computer illiterate, although I spend many working hours "attached" to one.

Way too verbose! A snifter of Grand Marnier and off to bed!
